What My Class Has Been Doing For Health And Nutrition.

This is one of the activites that we have had to do. we have had to read how much suger is in all of the foods on the wall. the foods on fame are good and the foods on shame are bad.

My Hoalday at Kaikoura

Orientation:

On the first week of the holidays Me and my Mum went to the bus depot to catch a bus up to Kaikoura to see my Nana and Poppa.

Story

When I was on the bus I saw lots of cows, sheep, and rabbits. When we were on the bus me and my Mum made a challenge that the first person to see five cows three rabbits and ten sheep would win the challenge. The bus ride was about a three hour drive but we got to hop off and have a break at Cheviot. Once we were back on the bus I saw a train track and then ten minutes later I saw a train go past us and I heard it use it’s horn. The rest of the ride there was just nature all around. Once we started getting close to Kaikoura I saw some seals on the rocks and we went through some tunnels and then I saw Kaikoura.

Once the bus stopped at Kaikoura it was around 6:30 PM and my Poppa picked us up so we went to get some fish and chips for tea. Once we got back to my Nana and Poppa's house I gave my Nana a hug and said hi and then we had tea. After we had tea we watched Maze Runner and then I went to bed.

When I woke up in the morning I went and had some breakfast and then got dressed and looked at my Nana and Poppa's garden. They were growing all kinds of stuff they were growing carrots, potatoes, lettuces, strawberries and tomatoes. They also had apple trees, lemon trees and peach trees.

Once we looked at all of my Nana and Poppa’s plants we got in the car and went to see the seals. When we got there there were lots of seals and I even saw some baby seals. When we were looking at the seals I saw some baby seals swimming in the water.

After we left the seals we went to the Whale Watch Cafe and had some lunch out. When we were at the Whale Watch Cafe I went down to the beach to look at the sea there was some huge waves.

After we had lunch we went around Kaikoura so we could have a look around. When we were looking around we saw some Whale Watch Ships going out to look at the whales.

When we finished looking around we went back home and Nana started to cook tea. After tea we went down to feed the eels some chicken bones. Then  I watched a movie I watched Hunger Games and then I went to bed.

The next day after I got up and had breakfast I went down to the park it was fun. When I got back I had to wash the car because when we saw the seals the other day it got really dirty so I had some fun getting wet when I was cleaning the car.

Once I had washed the car we went to go fishing so it was probably going to have to clean it again. When we went fishing I put the rod in a hole so it would stand up by itself then I went down by the water and made a barrier so that when the water came up I would not get wet. We were out there for about three hours but we did not catch anything.

When we got back home we had some lunch and then I had to wash the car again. For the rest of the afternoon  we just looked around the garden went to the park again and then we had tea. After we had tea I continued watching Hunger Games then I went to sleep.

In the morning it was the same routine but I did not need to clean the car. That day was the last day that I was up at my Nana and Poppa’s so we went on a crab hunt to see who would get the biggest crab.My Mum and I won, we got the biggest crab and the most crabs. Once we went on the crab hunt we went on the train home. It was fun on the train I was on the viewing platform for most of the ride.  

Conclusion

At the end of the holidays with my Nana and Poppa and I were pretty happy of what we did and I had lots of fun. I had the most fun when we went fishing and went on the train because I had never been on a train before. It was really fun at Kaikoura because I only go up once a holiday so I can't wait to go up next time.

Swiming at Canterbury swim school.

Today all of the school went swiming at Canterbury swim school. For the next two weeks the whole school at diffrent times of the day are going to swim there. At Canterbury swim school there are swiming instuctors that help us learn new swim skills. Hope you enjoy the video below.
