This week for science we did an experiment with a pestle and nails. Two days ago we went into the science labs and had to get a plastic cup. When then put some plaster powder into the cups and then filled them with water. We then mixed it until it turned into a thick paste. We then put a small plastic dinosaur into the paste and then sat the cups on the side of the window. Then today when we got them back we took the plastic cup off so it was just a hard paste and then broke it out. Below are some of the pictures of us taking them apart.

EOTC Week
What did I enjoy the most? Last week we went on EOTC week the thing that I enjoyed the most was when we went to Adrenalin Forest and when we went to Spencer Park. I enjoyed Spencer park because we were able to platy foot ball/Soccer.
What did I find the hardest? When we went to Adrenalin Forest I found it hard at the start like getting use to the height because I don't like heights and I found it hard having to go over some of the ropes up in the trees.
What new skills did I learn? When we were at omaka scout camp I learnt how to use a bow and arrow witch was a really cool experience. I also learnt how to start a camp fire and how to keep it going.
What did I learn about my self? I learnt that I am not that good with heights but after I give it a go I am fine. And that I dont know what it will be like untill i give it a go.

Summer Learning Journey Winner
Dear Emma
I am Kalim from Hornby High school
If I won the summer learning journey I would like to have a football so that in the weekends and week days I can play with my friends and learn some skills so that i can get better. It would also be something that I would enjoy because I love football.
Your sincerely Kalim

Passion Project Week 2
For passion projects my group is going to be running a tournament with the year 4, 5 and 6 at Hornby primary school. So far we have made our plan of what we are going to do. We have made our letter to ask the principle if we can have some of there students. We have also made a slide show on what skills/tricks we will be teaching them before they have the tournament. This helps me achieve my passion project because it is getting us closer to achieving our goal of teaching kids football skills and tricks. Our next step is to go to the principle and tell him what we are doing and see if we can borrow some of the students. Below is a slide show of all of the tricks we will teach the students.
