Home-Ec Practical
On Wednesday in cooking we were making biscuits with jam drops in the middle of them. We started off by getting all of the ingredients and putting them into bowls. After that we put the butter in the microwave so it was softer then added it to the sugar and vanilla essence. We then used a electric beater to mix it all together and then added an egg and the flour. After it was all mixed together we put some flour on the bench and rolled the dough in it. We then put flour on our hands and started to make the dough into biscuit shapes and press our thumb in the middle so we could put the jam there. After we added the jam we put it in the oven on fan bake 180 degrees and left it for 15 minutes. I thought that they were really good and maybe next time we could cook them for a little bit longer because they were a bit soft. And ingredient that has been adapted that might not have been very easy to get a while ago would of been jam because you need a lot of ingredients to make jam and it takes time. This links to our topic because most of the ingredients would of been grown liek wheat for the flour, berry for jam, sugar ect.
