Explanation About the Atmosphere (Draft)

What is the Atmosphere? The Atmosphere is one of the four spheres that helps everything survive by keeping the oxygen in earth and keeping out harmful sun rays. The Atmosphere helps the other three spheres by giving tress oxygen so it can grow and then turn carbon dioxide into oxygen. It helps the geosphere by giving it oxygen so grass can grow on it. It helps the biosphere by giving all living things oxygen now I will tell you about the Atmosphere.

Atmosphere: The Atmosphere has five layers those layers are

1. Troposphere first layer of Atmosphere it is 4-10 miles above earth
2. Stratosphere second layer of the Atmosphere. It is where the planes fly around. 30-35 miles above earth.
3. Ozone layer stops UV rays from the sun. The Ozone layer is not one of the 5 layers it is between the Stratosphere and the Mesosphere.
4.   Mesosphere third layer of Atmosphere. Most meteors burn up there. 50 miles above earth.
5.   Thermosphere fourth layer of Atmosphere. Air is very thin at that height. 400 miles above earth.
6. Inosphere has electric charge. This is also not one of the five layers it it just between the Thermosphere and the Exosphere. The Inosphere also helps transmit radio waves.
7. Now we come to our last layer which is the Exosphere the fifth layer of the Atmosphere. 6200 miles above earth.

My 11th Birthday-Draft

My 11th Birthday

I woke up one day with a huge smile on my face I knew it was the day I had been waiting for for many Months it was my 11th birthday and I was at my Nana and Poppa’s farm in Takaka. I had never had my birthday up at their farm before so I was really excited. After my Nana and Poppa came in from milking the cows we had breakfast.

For breakfast I had egg on toast after we had breakfast I went to pack my bag because that day my Dad and I were flying back to Christchurch. Once me and my Dad had packed we all left to go to Nelson for my birthday. It took about 2 hours to get over the fogey Takaka hill and to get to Nelson.

Once we got into Nelson we went to john deer to see where my Poppa’s Tractor tire was. After we did that we went to the Richmond mall in Nelson and had some lunch I had some Sushi and an ice cream sundae from Mcdonalds.

After we had lunch we went to the warehouse so I could have a look at what I wanted for my birthday. First I went to have a look at the Lego because I love Lego. Then I went to K Mart to have a look at their Lego but the prices were ginormous compared to at the warehouse so then we went to another warehouse that was about half an hour away from Richmond mall.

When we got there I went straight to the Lego to have a look at what stuff they had The good thing was that they had lots of Lego but the bad news was that they had lots of Lego. So after I had looked at everything that was not  Lego I thought why don't I put the money that my Dads giving me and the money that my Nana and Poppa are giving me together so I can buy some big Lego.

I like Ninjago Lego so I thought that it would be best to get some of that Lego so once I had a good look at all the Ninjago Lego I found one the I really liked so I got that one. I thought it was cool because it had a catapult that shot rocks at the big green elemental Dragon. So I got it and then we went to one of my Nana and Poppa’s friends house and we had dinner there.

Before we had dinner I played with there dog gizmo when I was waiting for their kids to come home. Gizmo was a really playful dog and loved to play tug war. I had been there for about ten minutes and then there kids got home. I played on the trampoline for a bit with them and we went inside for a bit and waited until it got dark to go on the trampoline. When we were on the tramp one of the boys grabbed a ladder on four legs. After he stood it next to the tramp he climbed and jumped he was much taller and older than me so when he landed he bounced me up real high like I had just been shot from a cannon up into the sky. it It was about 6.30 when we had fish and chips for tea and I had to be at the airport by 7.15 so I had around half an hour because the airport was only five minutes away.

Once I had finished tea we said bye to them and then went to the airport. We got there just in time because when we got in the door they were saying last call for Nelson to Christchurch. After we got on the plane we started to move on to the runway straight after we took off or about five minutes later there was some air turbulence it felt like we were on a boat in a storm. But after about ten minutes it was a smooth flight.

We landed in Christchurch after about a 45 minute flight. Once we got off the plane and grabbed our bags and went to wait outside of the airport for my step mum to pick us up. After she had picked us up it was 8.45 so when we got home it was 9.00 and we did my cake. I loved my cake because it had a butter icing on it and it had raspberry jam in the middle. Once I had ate my slice of the cake I went into my room and started to build my Lego. It was about two hours later when my dad came into the room and said it is eleven o’clock you should go to bed so I did and that was the end of the best and only eleventh birthday EVER!!!!!!
