Textiles Hoodie Progression

My Hoodie

For the last four-five week in Textiles we have been working on making an item of clothing of our choosing. Out of all of the options I choose to make a hoodie. The first thing that we had to do was take our measurements so that we know how big we have to make the hoodie. The next thing that we had to do was trace out the shape of all the peaces that we need for the hoodie using a pattern tracer to mark the paper so we could cut it out. The peaces that we need are Front, Back, Sleeve, Hood, Pocket, Hem Band and Sleeve Band. After we did all of the shapes we then choose a colour that we want our hoodie to look like I choose a grey colour. We then had to lay the peaces of paper down and pin them as flat as we can so that we can cut around them and it is the same size as the paper. This is as far as I have gotten so far I just have to cut out the rest of the pieces.

For the last two weeks in textiles we have been working on making an item of clothing. We had a couple of choices and I choose to make a hoodie. It got delayed a bit because we decided to make a couple of mask that we could wear so we can stay safe. The first thing that we had to do was get our sizes using a tape measure. We had to measure our self on our hips, waist and chest. once we did that we looked at the back of our design packet we choose to see what size we would have to cut out. We then got out the peaces of paper and used a tracing wheel to trace round the shapes and then we had to cut it out. The peaces we had to cut out are called The front, back, sleeve, hem band, sleeve band and hood.
